Mood Blanket 2014 for Sarah and Hannah

New Year ,,, New Project 🙂

Isn’t it a lovely idea to crochet a blanket consisting of a square a day or week and using different colors to reflect your mood.

My girls were so excited about this idea and and now they want a mood blanket of her own. Where will this go? I can tell you: No mood blanket for Mom but a mood blanket for Sarah and one for Hannah.

Sarah picked 5 colors for her mood blanket: white for sad, scared and bored … canary for angry, mad and grumpy … pumpkin for happy, excited, glad and very happy … light blue for tired and exhausted … sky blue for calm, fine and feeling ok

Hannah picked 5 colors for her mood blanket: yellow for sad, scared and bored … lime green for angry, mad and grumpy … cyclamen for happy, excited, glad and very happy … orchid for tired and exhausted … purple for calm, fine and feeling ok

I have decided to keep my squares very simple since I have many other projects on my mind. Also I will crochet each day with a yarn color that represents the mood of Sarah and Hannah.

What would my layout look like? Honestly … I am not sure right now. At this point I only know that I will crochet 360 squares … join as I go  … and using the last 5 days for the border.

For the mood blankets I will use Bravo DK Yarn with a 3.5 mm hook. I love, love, love that yarn.

You want to join in with your mood blanket? You can find me on Facebook to take a look at my working progress on the mood blanket or my other projects. And you can join the group on Facebook for Crochet Mood Blanket 2014
