Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2014

This year Christmas was relaxing 🙂 … We had such a calm, relaxing and also funny day with our girls Sarah and Hannah.Last year my girls woke me up at 5 in the morning. But this year we were really lucky. We got to sleep till 8 🙂

Hannah wished for a pink Christmas tree and here he is. All over in “pretty pink” … pink glass ornaments, pink stars and pink ribbons. And I crocheted little pink mittens.

Pattern for the Mittens:
Special abbreviation
hdc2tog (Yo, insert hook in next st, yo and pull up a loop) twice, yo and draw through all loops on hook.

Chain 6

Set up row: hdc in 2nd ch from hook and in each across, turn (5 hdc)

Row 1: Ch 2, hdc in each hdc across, turn (5 hdc)

Row 2: Ch 2, 2 hdc in first hdc, hdc in each hdc across, turn (6 hdc)

Row 3: Ch 2, hdc in each hdc to last st, 2 hdc, turn (7 hdc)

Row 4: Ch 3, 3 dc in first hdc, hdc in each hdc across, turn (6 hdc, 3 dc)

Row 5 and 6 : Ch 2, hdc in next 6 hdc, turn (6 hdc)

Row 7: Ch 2, hdc2tog, 2 hdc, hdc2tog, turn (4 hdc)

Row 8: Ch 2, 2 hdc2tog, turn (2 hdc)

Row 9: Ch 2, hdc2tog and fasten off
